Lion King was good, not great.
The production was definitely lacking, and I wondered if it had been scaled down since it was last here. I remember the costumes and stage scenery as over the top, with characters on stilts and a life-size elephant strolling down the aisle, just extraordinary.
I saw Molly Tuttle six years ago in our beautiful little theatre in Buffalo, NY, and was overwhelmed at how superbly well done, creative, and beautiful it was.
Was my recollection inaccurate? I don't know, but I was disappointed. The family members who attended with me were not overly excited about it. They liked it, but did not have the same reaction as I did years ago.
It was good but not great in my opinion. We were entertained.
To those who have never seen it, it may be more enjoyable for them.
